We are planning to migrate our application to a new infrastructure called as Flexpod, and it involves changing the IP addresses of the PPM instances. Our application servers are virtual and we access them using host names only but not by IP's.
So my question is that, does the change in IP addresses of the application is at all possible?
If yes, what are all the changes to be made?
Also, how does it effect the application?

The license in PPM is given by IP address regardless the DNS or server names…
Migrating from one server to another requires a difference license key pointing to the new IP.
For example the server name could be BETA using the IP 220.127.116.11
You can migrate the PPM to a new server and still keep the same server_name BETA, but as your new IP is 18.104.22.168, you need a different license.
There are no effects more than getting a new license file and making sure that your server.conf has the correct names for BASE_URL and SERVER_NAME

Does this migration need getting a complete new license or just a new key for the existing license?
Thanks a lot for the reply.

Just create a Ticket for License Request and Provide them your New IP Addresses and tell them you need New License files for these. They should email you new license files within a couple of hours. Just make sure to provide them with your all active SAID numbers and possibly attach your old lic files so that there are no confusions. And Yes, do include the list with # of liceses you are expecting for each module and make sure to verify the number after you get it.
