We have a requirement to automatically create reference between a project and a request.
The request type has a field 'Project Name', so whenever the request is created, it should be added as reference to that specific Project. For a Project, there may be n number of requests created.
Can anyone suggest me how to so this?
Appreciate your response!

Projects automatically created from a Proposal do create a reference back to the proposal.
Projects have a references tab.
If you are manually creating Projects you can create a reference back to a proposal.
The reference will be in the Project's references tab.

Thanks for the reply!
Please note that the request type is not Proposal. We have a separate request type to track the status of Projects every month.
While creating the request, the user has to select the Project Name. Once Project name is given, all project related fields will be auto populated in the request and additional data can be entered by users.
So, whenever the request is created, based on the selected Project name, the request should be automatically added as reference to that specific project.
Please advice if this can be done in PPM. Else, I would like to know if there is any other option to link the Project and the

The reference section for a "request" type is manual.
I looked for a special command for an automatic reference but could not find one.
One thing you could do:
- If you have your own data source and portlet for this "request" type.
- When you list this type in your portlet you could display a drill-down link to the project

If you want to do it via DB then just insert the appropriate row in "knta_references" table.
