HP Discover 2012 Strategy and Planning Trifecta

I’m busy getting ready for what is shaping up to be the best HP Discover ever. Talk about a jam packed conference… It’s a full agenda with exciting keynotes, tutorials, training opportunities, networking and hundreds of track sessions where you can learn from your peers about their strategy for success. I’m always interested in how to help make IT organizations more effective, and when I hear about customers who transform IT, I get very interested. 

 

It turns out that one of our hosts for HP Discover, The Las Vegas Sands (The Venetian) has its own IT Transformation story to tell (Session TB2488) and it’s pretty exciting. They have been trying to gain visibility and insight into how their organization is performing and also make it more consistent, efficient and responsive. As you know, changing IT… no Transforming IT, is hard work, requiring clear leadership and teamwork. IT transformation is as much about leadership as it is about process and tools. Success depends on all 3— leadership, process and tools. 

 

There are a couple of things about this session that I’m also excited about:  

-       I want to hear how our HP Partner – Results Positive, helped accelerate and enable the transformation

-       I want to learn about the KPIs and the metrics they are measuring in HP Executive Scorecard

-       I want to know how they are using HP PPM to define and enable their strategic governance processes

-       And I want to understand how HP Anywhere enables mobile access to their data and processes.

 

I think they made a few winning bets…. And I want to check out their payoff with the trifecta of HP Executive Scorecard, HP Project and Portfolio Management and HP Anywhere.
