Raid Rebuild Process on Integrated 6 Port SATA Controller

These steps will work on any 6 port SATA controller, also will work if the failed hard drive is replaced with a higher capacity hard drive

 

At the appropriate prompt during POST, press the Ctrl+A keys or the F8 key to access the RAID

Configuration Utility.

  •  From the menu, select Array Configuration Utility.
  •  From the main menu of the array configuration utility, select Add/Delete Hotspares.
  • Assign the new drive as a hotspare. 

 

  • From the main menu of the array configuration utility, select Manage Arrays.
  • From the List of Arrays, select the array that you want to rebuild.
  • Press the Ctrl+R keys to begin the rebuild process
