NC373i Network Adapter in DL380 G5

Hi

I have two DL380 G5 servers running Windows Server 2003 R2, both are connected into the same module on a HP ProCurve 4208vl switch chassis.  The network adapter, switch port and HP network config utility on both servers are set to Auto.

One of the servers connects fine at 1Gbps, however the second server will only connect at 100Mbps.

I've tried to manually set the speed to 1000 Full on the adapter driver, switch port and network config ultility, however when I do this it just shows as the network cable being unplugged.

I've just updated the nic to the latest drivers and this hasn't made a difference either.

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Neil

Re: NC373i Network Adapter in DL380 G5

I can't quite believe I'm saying this but... changing the patch lead worked a treat... something so simple

In 20 years I've never seen that before.

Thanks very much!
