Array accelerator status: Permanently disabled Possible data loss in cache

We get the following error:

SLOT SUMMARY:
Slot Num Slot Type Array Controllers and Host Adapters Detected
-------- ---------
SLOT 0 PCI Smart Array 5i Controller
SLOT 2 PCI FCA2404 2Gb PCI-X HBA for Windows
SLOT 2 PCI FCA2404 2Gb PCI-X HBA for Windows
SLOT 3 PCI FCA2404 2Gb PCI-X HBA for Windows
SLOT 3 PCI FCA2404 2Gb PCI-X HBA for Windows

SLOT 0 Smart Array 5i Controller ERROR REPORT:

Array accelerator status:
Permanently disabled
Possible data loss in cache
Warranty alert
Array accelerator parity write errors: 1

It happends after a unexpected power outage in DATA Center.

I can't access the ACU anymore:

Parity errors occurred when trying to write data to the array accelerator's memory possibly due to a loose connection between the array accelerator and the current array controller. Array accelerator operations are permanently disabled.

The question is what to do to solve the problem.

Can you run Diagnostics? Maybe the accelerator battery has failed.

Re: Array accelerator status: Permanently disabled Possible data loss in cache

hi

just try this

1. Down the server and turn off the power.
2. Remove the hard drives (just pull them out an inch or so).
3. Power on the server and allow the server to complete POST.
4. Once POST has completed, power off the server
5. Re-insert the hard drives
6. Power on the server and the cache should now be enabled.

Hi,

Thanks for your clear reply, I will try it out and will let you know if it did help. But I'm sure it will be the solution.
