Hi, please pardon my ignorance on a few of these topics. I have a Procurve 3500yl which I need to setup for some equipment I'm running. I need to be able to still access the internet with this equipment, but I want to create a few different VLAN's to separate the traffic.
I don't know if it is possible to use address scheme 192.168.2.XXX and then have a gateway if 192.168.1.254, that is where my Dell SonicWall is sitting.
Now, I don't want all the VLANs to have access to the internet, but I would still like to access this equipment from a PC on the 192.168.1.XXX network.
This is getting a little beyond my experieince in setting up a switch. I would also like the switch to assign addresses if possible. I do have a DHCP server sitting on 192.168.1.1.
