I'm trying to use the Scan button on my LaserJet M2727 MFP. It is on a standard Cisco network (DHCP) talking to a computer on the same subnet, and from the computer I can successfully edit the "scan to" destination list (and associated output file presets) and see the updated list on the M2727. Despite successful communication in that regard, as well as every other function including printing and scanning initiated from the computer, upon pressing "Scan" the display indefinitely reads "Waiting for PC..."
I uninstalled the printer and then reinstalled the Full Solution driver/software without error, but it seems as though the PC is still not responding to the M2727's request to initiate the scan.
PC is running Windows 7 64-bit and user has full admin rights to the machine.
I suggest the following steps for troubleshooting:
1) Verify the port configuration (Right click printer icon=>Printer properties, go to Ports Tab, select Configure Port option). Check if the "Printer name or IP Address" field has its name or IP address, if it is name then change it to IP address. Restart the printer & PC, then try scanning.
2) Change the IP config method for printer from DHCP to Manual (configure manual IP address). Restart the printer & PC, then try scanning.
