Local printing and PCl

We are printing data on preprinted forms from a hp3000 application. The first line on the first page always print one line lower than all subsequent pages. This occurs regardless of whether using a 700 terminal or terminal emulation programs to local printer or to a spooled printer.

I have debugged the PCL output and noticed that the first page always contains a first line "esc{" followed by .

It seems that the "esc{" - start transmit-only field - is the additional line.

Is there a way to issue this command without it using a print line ? Or perhaps resetting the first actual print position to the beginning of this line ?

Thanks for your help
