hp laserjet 1100A cable... parallel? usb?

I would like to be able to connect my "old" laserjet 1100a via a parallel cable to USB to my laptop. But what kind of cable do I need?

I don't understand.Any store that sells computer equipment should be able to get these cables if they don't have them in stock.

I can see the first one searching on yahoo.dk but not the second one.
I only had a quick look. Maybe you will have more luck?

This replaces the printer cable you now have. The link I provided plugs into your usb port and then the adapter plugs into the cable and the end of the adapter goes into the printer. It has to be 2 pieces since no one makes the mini-parallel to usb only the regular parallel to usb and the adapter makes the regular parallel into mini-parallel.
