I was recently sent to a dist. to check out a laser jet 4250 printer with an 50.5 fuser error. Immediately I change the fuser along with the rollers and figure this would take care of it. It did not, the error still remained, so I made sure the fuser was the right one I check the number and it was correct, I unseated the fuser and put in back and still the error 50.5 still remains. What am I doing wrong?

This error is telling us the fuser is the wrong model so tell us the model of the fuser as it should say rm1082 for the 110V version or rm1083 for the 220V version. That said make sure the printer itself is the correct model. Sometimes a front cover gets changed since 4200 or 4300 front cover will fit. There should be a label when you raise the toner door with a C number that tells the correct model of the printer.
