color laserjet 3700N ink bleeding

we have a color laserjet 3700n that prints about 5 pages of a 20 page doc. great but after the 5th page the ink starts to bleed on the page. Random colors, nothing specific.
Doesn't seem to do this when printing black only.

Re: color laserjet 3700N ink bleeding

Are the color toners hp oem or aftermarket. When it starts to happen, go into the diagnostics menu and choose the option for pq troubleshooting and select and see if the information sheet that prints first or the next pages that print give you any ideas. In the same menu is the option to disable cartridge check and you can then remove toners and still operate the printer or switch the position of the toners to try and see if you can narrow down what is happening. Most times if using aftermarket toners the color ones just have issues, especially if using office depot brand.
