I have a clj 3600 in my shop that it only goes as far as to the calibrating stage upon powering it on. I have inspected it visually, consumables look ok. I have to turn it off after about 20 minutes in calibrating mode afraid fuser will overheat. machine looks clean in/out. any suggestions? thanks

Generally the problem is one of the toner cartridges. After it calibrates for about 5 minutes open the front door and look at the etb. There should be blocks of all colors on the belt and if any are missing then the toner cartridge for those colors are probably the issue. When calibrating if the printer can not read one of the colors then it continues to calibrate. Do not worry about the fuser as it only heats up when a job is sent to print.
