Unsupported Personality: UNKNOWN error with laserjet 1300n

Greetings,

One of my laserjet 1300n printers randomly prints out a page periodically throughout the day that contains the message:
"Unsupported Personality: UNKNOWN"

The page comes out during print jobs and also when the printer is sitting idle.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and how were you able to rectify it? I have five rooms with the identical printer and computer hardware and have only experienced this issue in one location.

Reinstall the driver.

We have a printer exibiting the same symptoms, it is networked and prints this error message at random while idle. Several forums indicate that the drivers should be reinstalled, often replied with that did not work. I reconfigured the error behavior so as not to dump the error message.

I would appreciate a bonifide solution to this problem.
