When I print to 2600n the spooler just crashes with an error report saying that the problem was caused in hpzjrd01.dll.
I have the latest drivers and cleared the %windows%\system32\spool\Printers directory, but every time i try to print this keeps happening.
I have contacted MS, and they say that it's HP problem, and something about a memory leak in the HP module.
Is there anything that I can do to fix this. Reintalling doesn't seem to work.
Here is some info from the error report:
szAppName: spoolsv.exe
szModName: hpzjrd01.dll
szAppVer: 5.1.2600.2696
szModVer: 1.0.1.6 offser: 00002904

Same here.
We installed the printer driver on several systems without any problem. On 2 IBM laptops the driver will crash the spooler service with the above details. Same driver. Hebrew language.
After uninstall the spooler still crashes. Only cleaning out the spool directories helps. While spooler crashes printing to ANY printer is impossible.
Thanks for any help.

Same here as well. I get a window that says:
spoolsv.exe - Application Error
The instruction at â 0x00ce2904â referenced memory at â 0x00994000â . The memory could not be â readâ .
Click on OK to terminate the program
This is followed by an error similar to Ilya's.

Cleaning out the spool directories did the trick. As described on the following page: http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDriver s.htm
cleaning out the
%systemroot%\system32\spool\printers\
%systemroot%\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\2
%systemroot%\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3
in addition to the registry cleanup was the answer. Then reinstalling the
clj2600prnsyswin.exe
got the 2600n working again.
Thanks.
