This is for anybody at HP that can help.
I just went to install a new (out of the box) LJ P4014 at a customer location.
Drivers installed fine and everything works except Easy Printer Care software.
When you click install from the disk that came with the printer, it opens Internet Explorer and, if I am not wrong, it should either automatically install it from the web or tell you to dl and install it but instead IE opens on a "cannot find URL" message.
What gives and how can I install the software for the customer?
The HP download page for Easy Printer Care says "this software is not downloadable from this website, contact your reseller".
Well, my company is the seller and we have no clue of what is going on or what to do.
Any words of wisdom out there?

It just happened again this time with a CM3530mfp.
Trying to install Easy Printer Care from the disk.....it opens IE on the Easy Printer Care page and when you choose the download, it comes up with the message "this software is not available for download on this page".
Anybody out there that knows what is going on with this???

Thank You for using HP Forums.
Kindly provide the Link, where you got the error message "this software is not available for download on this page". This will help us to escalate the issue to the concerned support team.

That is correct Kenneth, thank you.
Basically Easy Printer Care is not installable from the disks and/or downloadable from the HP website which obviously upset the customers because it is supposed to be part of the installation on a new equipment.

(Wow, 5 minutes ago the link worked and now it doesn't!)
>send you to:
Something strange on that page. If you select the "Printer Usage Report - PUR" link, you end up with:
HP Easy Printer Care Software Download
Which wants you to either take a survey or get you to the other links mentioned that say "not available".

Thanks for using HP Forums!
We have escalated this issue of unavailability pages in the site http://www.hp.com/go/epc . And here is the update that the concerned team provided us -
This is a known issue and the software has been discontinued. This was actually done about 6 months ago (now it has been 8 months). At that time, all the links and web info was suppose to be removed. It is actually not downloadable from the web anymore. However, there are remainants of the website that still need to be cleaned up.
So they are in the process of removing the leftovers content.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused!

Ok so......no Toolbox FX for windows7 and now EPC is discontinued.
What other options are available to the customers?
Why are the new printers still shipped with the EPC software link on the drivers/software CD?

Still interested in a copy of this? I found one! Its pretty old (2004/2005) so probably XP and too big to attach here (15MB zipped), so I'll put it on my web site until christmas to give you a chance to download it.
Good Luck, regards
