Firmware updated from 0800806 to 0800903 on 15 printers via JetAdmin, all were rebooted after the upgrade, 3 are now showing 'resend upgrade' message alternatively with ready message. Jet Direct version is 28.59. Cold restart tried on one by holding check key when starting and then choosing cold restart via menu and power cycling. Tried to resend upgrade before and after this but cannot get rid of message. Still have another 6 to do which have 0800806 firmware currently and jetdirect 28.47. Also tried restart options by holding down arrow on restart and then pressing up arrow followed by pause/resume. Can anyone help?

We've had a similar problem with LJ4250 f/w upgrade. On the Embedded Jet direct Page printed out from the printer control panel menus under heading â General Informationâ the message reads:-
Status: I/O Card Not Ready
INCOMPLETE F/W â MUST DOWNLOAD
If you have this and can't browse Web page on embedded JD card, try re-sending firmware to the embedded network card using link below.

Use FTP method.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Can fully access printer/jetdirect card via webadmin or browser by inputting IP address, but cannot get rid of message from screen saying resend update. Have also tried this morning removing large volume paper tray and resending without this.

I tried what the other threads said, but didn't work. Talked to HP tech, here's what worked:
On laserjet 4250n:
Go to Configure device, system setup, ramdisk, set it to Off. Upgrade the firmware again. This removed the Resend Upgrade message. Turn the ramdisk back on.
Tech also said if it happens again, you can try point and print drivers located at http://www.hp.com/pond/pnp. He said the drivers are different than those on the CD and website. I didn't try them, but there are many models listed.
