I have replaced the drawer, lifter assy, mount and the spring.
In comparing drawer insertion side to side with another 4250 the 'good' 4250 drawer engages and moves the lifer assy back about 1/2" when it is fully closes but this printer does not move the lifter assy back at all.
It appears as the lifter assy gear does not fully engage with the drawer gear.
There is no apparent physical damage to the printer but I am suspecting an alignment issue.

Hello, the 60.02 errors are caused by the lifter motor not properly lifting the tray 2 cassette. This can be caused either by a faulty tray 2 cassette or a faulty lifter motor. Try checking the tray to see if it might be damaged, also was it out of the box having this issue or did it just start happening over time? Best case, you may just have a damaged tray, worst case would be having to replace the lifter motor. Also, did you get this machine from HP? If so, I would give them a call as this machine would still be under warrenty if you just bought it in Sept.
Hope this helps....
