Hello everyone, we have been using this site for a while now looking and finding answers at various times. Nice to have this around. We have 3 of the LJ 3600N printers here and get many of the errors that others have written about on here. But this latest error we have has made the printer unusable. Upon POST it halts flashing 59.52 error. I found this error to be the Magenta drive motor from various websites. Question would be, is this something that is worth repairing ourselves, or is it too costly or difficult? Also is there a good place to locate HP part #'s needed to fix? Thanks for the help in advance!
I would say that, if it's out of warranty, it's quite easy to replace... but be sure not to mess up the timing of what's below it. It's under the right cover, attached to the main drive assembly. It's a real pain to time the main drive assembly just right, so if you're careful enough, it should be relatively easy.
if it's the magenta drive motor, the part number should be:RM1-2689-000CN.like adam said,if the timing gets out ,it can be a chore to get it back right.the gears in that area have a certain alignment and not all of them are captive.
