We have a few Laserjets 4000 that are on the network via a JetDirect. We moved the print queues from an old windows 2003 server to a new windows 2003 server via a backup of the cabs.
Everything in the queue stayed the same, except the ports which I updated to reflect the new server.
The printer name changed and so did the IP.
We also put a DHCP reserve on the printer IP so if it is ever offline it will still be able to retain it's IP address,
Currently, printers are randomly dropping offline and if you print it does not wake up to print.
What changed that is causing the printer to go offline and how can I stop it??
