Having issues printing, lables, envelopes, even normal paper.

everytime my client clicks the "print" button on thier computer the job goes to the printer and then the Error light starts flashing orange. i have looked up the light descriptions and it states the print cartridge door is open. but its not. i can press the GO button and the print job prints just fine. so everytime anyone prints you have to and press GO.

pain in the arse.

any thougts?

I lied ... its only lables.

printing normal documents works fine.

Printing lables. the error light comes on. hit GO and it prints just fine.

printer tested directly via IP address and tested shared from a Windows 2003 server.

both tests were teh same. error light comes one when printing lables.

lables are loaded in the manual feed tray.

It sounds like the attention light is blinking rather than an actual error - this normally means the printer requires operator intervention to load paper and the like.

I would guess the computer is asking printer for manual feed (of labels) or an incorrect paper size.

Pressing the GO button tell the printer to continue as if you had loaded the correct paper/media.
