HP Laserjet 1320 recurring fatal error (759 Views)

For the past couple of months or so, our laserjet printer has been experiencing fatal errors. This printer handles all of our library's workload, but we only have five small computers, of which at most we have two jobs printing, at max. HP support was contacted, but they never replied, and that was three months ago. If anyone could suggest a solution, it would be deeply appreciated.

The lights flash and nothing prints. The printer must be shut down, left to wait for 10 seconds or so, powered up and then a print job must be sent immediately or it stops again. This must be repeated for every job. The manual call this a 'fatal error.'
