HP Laserjest 4015X - Replace Maintenance Kit

I replace the maintenance Kit and I still have a message light on the screen to "Replace Maintenance Kit".  How do I get this to go away?  I followed the instructions that came with the kit.  No Help!

Any suggestions???

You do not tell us what instructions you followed.  In any case see the attached and see if it helps.

Sorry,  I did follow the instructions.  But, Reset the maintenance-kit counter, when I get to step # 3 of the instructions I never see "NEW MAINTENANCE KIT" listed in the list.

That is typical of 4015 models that are still on their original firmware (a known flaw).

1. Download the current firmware for the 4015
2. Print off the printer's configuration (in case some info has to be re-input later)
3. Install the new firmware,
4. Re-try re-setting the maintenance status
