I have a Laser Jet M1522nf and the message screen is blank. I turn it on and off and you can tell it starts but there isn't any information on the control panel where it usually says "ready." There are no lights on the panel lit up either. I have tried everything. I've checked the connections, uninstalled/reinstalled the printer and a test page won't even print. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Sounds like the typical formatter issue with this unit. HP has issued a service note to repair the printer even if out of warranty. You need to bring it to an authorized support provider and tell them it is the formatter sevice note issue. You can also call hp and they will issue you a case number to bring to the provider but most times that is not necessary.
