HP LaserJet 1100 printer cable

I am desperately looking for a parallel to USB cable or converter that works with the 1100 printer. My 1100 printer is still in good shape and I am trying to connect it to a new HP A1430N tower which only provides a USB port. The parallel connector is an odd size (small, about 1 inch) and was manufactured for HP only.

Re: HP LaserJet 1100 printer cable

That is not true. Imation use the very same connector (Centronic Type C connector) on the Super Drive for mac G3 B&W and later one Model. In fact, Imation Made an USB to Type C connector that seems to work very well with the HP LJ 1100, LJ 8000, LJ 8100, LJ 8150. I have a few of those on hands myself.

Re: HP LaserJet 1100 printer cable

better still, keep your existing printer cable (mini centronics on printer end and 25 pin male parallel on the other) and purchase a cable adapter on ebay

USB to 25pin Female Parallel Printer Adapter Cable

will set ya back $8 with shipping and they work!

good luck
