HP LaserJet 1100 paper feed problems

My LaserJet 1100 recently started to pull to many pages when it was printing. So I found out about the separation pad online and installed it, also cleaned the pickup roller. Seemed to have fixed the problem as long as I'm printing on plain paper, but today I tried to print on my letterhead (which is a little thicker than the plain paper) and it gets jammed every time. The printer is 3 years old and has worked fine until know. Any Help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: HP LaserJet 1100 paper feed problems

Hi Tom,

Make sure the letterhead is within spec for the printer:

Try cleaning the pick up roller again.

If you are within spec and cleaning the roller does not help then you may need to replace the roller:

Re: HP LaserJet 1100 paper feed problems

HP makes a repair kit for this problem(seperation pad kit), it is a one time only fix. If the problem comes back, then the paper pickup rollers need to be replaced. PARTS NOW! makes a replacement kit for this problem.

Re: HP LaserJet 1100 paper feed problems

you has solved one problem but gained another..
you don't say where the paper is been jammed?
if it is in the pickup/ tray ass
then the only thing you can do is replace the whole pickup/feed ass RG5-4581-000CN

if it is in the output assembly then a:
or fuser ass RG5-4590-000CN

problem solving is a nightmare
