Points?

Points are a way of saying thank you to the person that has helped you with your problem.

Only the question author can assign points to a given response. You will see a dropdown menu of points next to the reply (you must be logged in to see the menu). Select the point value and then click the "submit points" button.

Note that you can rate multiple replies and submit them at one time. That way you can assign more than ten points to any one user for their reply.

Re: Firmware for 4050n & 4100n

So, heré is the naswer from HP Support :-))

-- Anup G P sagt:
Marcin, the firmware for the above printer is not available in the site to download. However you can go ahead and purchase the firmware DIMM from the market.
The reason is because these are obsolete models hence you cannot download it from the site and hence the only solution is to purchase the firmware DIMM's.

We regret the inconvenience caused to you on this issue.

Re: Firmware for 4050n & 4100n

The firmware for both those models could never be downloaded from the hp site since the printes never had the capability to receive updated firmware via download. HP did offer a updated firmware dimm for the 4100 for quite some time to correct various issues. The 4050 had the firmware on the formatter board and could not be upgraded without changing the formatter. I do not know if they ever came out with a update dimm you could put in one of the memory slots.

Re: Firmware for 4050n & 4100n

I was also looking for the most current printer firmware and jetdirect firmware for the HP 4550. I think this might be it:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=130&prodSeriesId=...

Or this:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SupportTaskIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=130&prodT...

Or try googling: upgrading software on HP laserjet 4550
You will want to click on: Hp LaserJet 4100 Printer series - Upgrade and migrate
