Driver for HP Laserjet 1005 for windows 7

Hello all,

I bought a new notebook with windows 7 home premium edition and now I can't install my printer.

Does somebody know where to find a driver for my printer HP Laserjet 1005 for windows 7?

I already tried the XP-driver, but it doesn't work!!!

Does anybody know a compatible driver for this printer (it could be a driver from a different printer), which is working with windows 7 home premium edition for my printer HP Laserjet 1005?

I just need it printing, I don't need all the other special function, just printing.

Please anybody of you who knows a solution help me with this problem.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Mirko Krüger

Try using Windows Update. It may find the driver.

Re: Driver for HP Laserjet 1005 for windows 7

Hi!

Yesterday I spoke to HP Sweden about the same problem. They said that they will not be offering drivers for Win 7 because the LJ 1005 is too old. Microsoft Compability Center has no information to give, but states that they are trying to establish contact with HP. Despite the fact that my printer is working OK and only needs a driver I can't use it and that's--bad! HP Swden told med to buy a new printer.

Re: Driver for HP Laserjet 1005 for windows 7

Hello,

The Windows-64 bit driver is not supported by HP for this product, I have found some helpful page where they have mentioned that if a product that is not supported in Windows 7, you may be eligible for a trade-in allowance you can use toward the purchase of any new HP printer, Just check this link-

Re: Driver for HP Laserjet 1005 for windows 7

A BRIEF DISCRIPTION ABOUT THE IRRESPONSIBILITY OF AN INTERNATIONAL COMPANY

I agree with u my dear brother....

I tried it many times by using different strategies but no result.

my laptop ( toshiba Satellite C640 ) is not supported  with WINDOWS XP.

so i have only two choices to solve my problem.

1) Buy a new HP Multifunction  printer than that  the present < present printer I Purchased

YESTERDAY

( on 16/03/2012 )>

2) Buy a new Laptop which support WINDOWS XP < the present laptop

TOSHIBA Satellite C640 we Purchased on 08th March 2012 >

i can`t understand why this happens???

HP IS AN INTERNATIONAL COMPANY.

I NEVER EXPECT THIS KIND OF AN ANSWER FROM U, (to buy a new one).

I NEED AN IMMEDIATE SOLUTION FOR THIS problem

the physical and mental torture that faced by me due to this is unexplainable.

Its very simple, for a company like H.P to develop a software which supports windows7 32 bit.

that is the right way.

An advice by a company to buy a new printer for the simple issue of

uncompatibility of driver is really Ridiculous & HOW Pathetic.

shame HP shame

very bad....

I think win7 introduced in 2008.

4 years is a too latetime to develop a driver for a best selling printer like H.P M1005.

that means lot of H.P M1005 customers ( around 10-12Laks of  Innocent customers ) are faceing the same problem.

How can a Company like H.P to solve the mental, physical and financial problems of these customers.

Its really proving the  irresponsibility of that AN INTERNATIONAL company.

Re: Driver for HP Laserjet 1005 for windows 7

More nice information, the HP trade-in program applies only in the States.

Thank you again HP, not only I am forced to by a new printer (I was wrong and both again and HP, stupid people repeat crashing in the same stone every time the stone is in his way...), but also the hp trade-in is limited to only the State. What happen, HP does not live from selling the same printer abroad?

I guess I will get same answer as for the driver (in my case laserjet 1005 -without P-).

Well, HP, I hope you had enjoyed my money when I purchased the 1005 and now the pro100 175nw plus the tonner, even if I did it in Spain. I will start purchasing refilled tonners and paper non HP. Probably you will not appreciate in any case.

regards,
