We are getting the following message when printing from Autocad:
Error: Unable to store job at printer
Reason: Printer not configured to collate
Solution: Install an EIO Hard Disk
Is installing a HDD the only solution?

Ed,
It looks like for collation (and MOPY/JOB STORAGE) on this model, you need to install the optional disk. Newer model LaserJets use a RAMDISK (instead of hard disk) for this purpose and they have a control panel menu item to control the RAMDISK ; I've checked the LJ5500 manual and the RAMDISK item is not present.

The other option if you do not need to store the job is to turn off job storage.
