79 service error

I have a hp laserjet 3200 and I am receiving a 79 service error 694:sm.c. Could you please help me with this?

Try a Cold Reset to reinitialize the printer:

1). Unplug the power from the printer.
2). Hold the Symbol (*) & Enter buttons simultaneously and plug the power back on.
3). Wait till you see "Permanent Storage Initializing" msg (I think that is but not very sure the exact msg) then release the two buttons.
4). It should come back up to Ready. You might have to try the Cold Reset a couple times. If it still gives you the same error after a couple tries, you need a new Firmware DIMM.

Thank  you for this (which does not appear in the manual).  My error message came after attempting to install under Win7, possibly due to a bad intial USB connection.

The Initialisation message appears for a couple of minutes and there is a tendency to think something has gone wrong but eventually the Ready reappears and you can start again.
