3150 Replace fixing unit??

My 3150 report replace fixing unit. When I turn it on - then it works fine for a while.
Is it the maintenance counter??. Is there a way to reset it. Or do i have to change the heating roller??

Re: 3150 Replace fixing unit??

Hello Ole,

Try connecting the LJ3150 directly to the wall outlet (if you are using a power strip). See if the problem continues.

Re: 3150 Replace fixing unit??

Hi

Disconnect the product from the power source and plug it directly into a wall outlet.
If the problem persists then there is an error with the print engine. Service is required.

Thanks

Re: 3150 Replace fixing unit??

Hi,

This problem can also relate to the Automatic Document Feeder, this is where you put the documents for faxing or scanning. If you pull the front of the machine where the numerical key pad towards you it will hinge and you can see a roller - if this roller doesn't have free movement (or if paper is jammed) then you get the engine error. It is not related to the fuser at all. Give this front area a good spring cleaning and if the error persists then the unit will need serviced.

Regs,

Baj

Re: 3150 Replace fixing unit??

Thanks everyone!!

None of your answers help. I changed the heating roller and I havent had any trouble since then.

Thought you should know.
