Subject: HP DesignJet 500 42 C7770B drivers Win 7 and Win 7x64

Hi

I have tried the latest download on the HP support and drivers page. It seems to provide for every model expect the basic HP Designjet 500 42 (without GL/2 card). Where can I find the right driver for this model both for XP x32 and Win 7 x32 and x64 please?

Many thanks
Jim

Thanks, Conrado
Unfortunately, that link does not help. It's the one I found in the first place and the drivers do not include support for Designjet 500 42 without GL/2 card.

Did you ever find Win7 drivers for the DesignJet 500 (C7770B).

Re: Subject: HP DesignJet 500 42 C7770B drivers Win 7 and Win 7x64

The drivers are built into Windows 7.  When you install a new printer and you get to the point where it asks you to choose your model, with an icon that says "have disk", the icon next to it says "Windows update".  When you click on Windows update it will take a few minutes to populate all the drivers in that cache, but once it does, the driver you need will be listed there.

If you feel my reply has assisted you in repairing your printer please press the kudos star icon on the left and mark as problem solved. Thank you!
