Hi Tim - just wanted to close the loop on my post. It was a broken starwheel assembly. We did replace it and although we had subsequent errors, they became moot after Budget office ok'd a new printer. Pity - I was hoping to troubleshoot it to the bitter end! Thanks for your help.

Arekme, sorry so late. I believe that white idler? gear that you are calling a bushing? comes with the star wheel motor. If you still need it, I have 1--white gear that is slotted. Think the starwheel motor came with 2 so have 1 left over.

I have a T1200 with 22.0.10 code. We have replaced the left ink supply station and the PCA board, but still cannot get the code to clear. Any suggestions?

Hi, did you replace the starwheel motor and upon reconnecting main board cables possibly cross the 2 largest cables? If so you need to uncross them and hopefully you didn't hurt anything. If you did, and have troubles after uncrossing them, you might want to look at this thread:

The plotter had a 22.0.10 code when we were first called to service it. We tried replacing the left ink supply station and that didn't take care of it. We then replaced the Main PCA and the code still did not clear. We never replaced the starwheel motor.

Just in case: for the 2 largest cables to the board, did you get the 1 with blue tape on it into the blue socket and the 1 remaining largest cable into the black? socket. Think the 1 from the ink supply station goes to the black? socket.
If you swapped these 2 cables by chance on the main board, you would continue to get error 22.0:10.
I know you probably didn't do this (like I recently did), but just in case.

Well, I assume you would continue to get error 22.0:10 if the cables were swapped. I'm referencing a T770 not a T1200 on which I swapped the cables which could damage, in my case it did, the rewinder motor, I think, in the upper right roll support. 1 poster in the earlier thread link only had the motor bind up and freed it up and it no longer gave the 45.1:03 error - error related to rewinder motor.

We came in after another company was servicing. I think we will check to make sure those cables are not crossed and see what we find. Thank you very much.

Try the following:
�� Switch the Power OFF from the back of the Printer and disconnect the
Power cord. Reconnect the power cord and power On the Printer.
�� Check that the Starwheel Assembly cable is not damaged and is correctly
connected to Main PCA.
�� Open the Window and check for any visible obstacles restricting the
movement of the Starwheel Assembly, then clear the obstruction.
�� Perform the Scan Axis Starwheel diagnostic test to troubleshoot the
problem further → Page 4-7.
�� Replace the Starwheel Motor → Page 8-167.
�� If the System Error continues, replace the Main PCA.

If you have installed said upgrade you may find that you now have an issue with print orientation - specifically, A1 drawings will not print in landscape format on A0 sized paper. We have just solved this problem by installing the July 23rd 2012 firmware update (ver TT6-TTAJ_220.127.116.11. Why-oh-why aren't HP telling us that this update solves the ploblem?

how can i update/upgrade my firmware in t1200 postscript when i try to access my embedded web server its saying "access denied contact printer admin..." and when i look in giga ethernet information it says "not installed" same in usb information.... then i tried downloading the new firmware and save it on a flash drive. thats the only file on the flash drive... then nothing happend.. i mean it just went to its normal operation.. how do i install the giga ethernet and usb on t1200???? i forgot... when i try ro reset or restore default settings, nothing happen after i restart the printer.....

This sounds to me like the usb may have been disabled and someone has locked down its communication through the security mode. Has there ever been an administrator setup to manage this plotter?

i've installed the updated firmware but its still much the same.... in connectivity - giga ehternet - installed: no , usb - disabled: yes , jetdirect eio - installed: no , advance - allow snmp - access denied contact the printer administrator....
embedded web server - access denied contact the printer administrator and same with the web services....
and there's no administrator setup....... what should i do??????

Try with a EEROM reset to delete any admin password. In fact, delete all settings

About the giga ehternet - installed: no. Is the network cable connected?
If the cable is disconnected you will get that status

Have you try the eerom reset already?
Also, when you connect the Ethernet cable, what are the status of the leds on the port?

i haven't try the eerom reset yet but i will.... and i have another prob... how about the 21:13 error???
i've looked in the service station, i've looked if theres any paper that may jam here but theres none...

Problem Description: Failure moving Service Station
Corrective action: Try the following:
1. Switch the power off from the back of the printer and disconnect the power cord. Check
the Primer Tubes. Reconnect the power cord and power on the printer.
2. Make sure that the Service Station path is clear. Remove any visible obstacles (screws,
plastic parts, etc.) restricting the movement of the Service Station.
3. If the carriage has stopped over the service station, on the right side of the printer, check
that the cutter is not activated. The cutter may be blocking the carriage over the service
station, preventing the service station from performing the movement correctly. The cutter
is on the left side of the carriage.
4. Perform the Service Station diagnostic test to troubleshoot the problem further. See
Service Station Test.
5. Replace the Service Station. See Service Station.
You can't necessarily see problems in the service station, if it is full of ink residue that has hardened to hinder the proper movement.
