Hi, thank you, I guess I should've specified... the plotter is not on the network yet. I'm trying to find the MAC so I can add in a DHCP reservation for it. And there in is the thing, I don't know what IP address our DHCP server is going to automatically assign it without that reservation....
EDIT: "P.S. This thread has been moved from Printers - Designjet & Large Format to Macintosh-Compatible Products. - Hp Forum Moderator"
And can someone tell me why this was moved to a Macintosh forum when by MAC I'm referring to the hardware address??? This is on a windows based network....

The easiest way to get it, is from the Front panel of the printer once connected to net network: Main Menu > Connectivity > Network Conenctivity > Network information
From the EWS: Networking > Configuration Page > Hardware Address
OR, if you have the printer IP addres,
on the command prompt use the command arc -a, look for the printer IP address. you will find the IP on the rigth
I hope this helps

Thanks for your response. I did eventually get it through the front panel. The issue at the time (and why I posted asking) was because I was not physically on site with the plotter and needed to walk someone else through getting it for me. As noted, I didn't have the IP. I ended up just having to wait until I was back at that area.
I don't see why HP can't just stick a sticker on these things saying "hardware address: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx" or something....

Thanks for the replay.
This could be becuase the printer have a network card that is install during the assembly and not an embbeded port as in other models.
I'm glad that you have found the mac address.
