DesignJet 500 - 24" carriage belt replacement

The plotter was working perfectly until the carriage belt disintegrated.  I replaced the belt and all associated parts.  Reassembled the unit and it initialized properly, the carriage went back and forth as it should, then finally I got an error message saying the cyan printhead needed to be replaced.  I did that, but got the same message.  Replaced it again, in case the first was bad, same message.  All seems to be working as it should, except for this issue.  Any ideas, or suggestions of what I may have done wrong?  Error code is 0233.

Thanks

Re: DesignJet 500 - 24" carriage belt replacement

Since you had to remove the carriage assembly when you replaced the belt, you need to check the trailing cable connection since it was removed when you replaced the belt.  Also I hope you did not damage the flex connector at the back of the carriage assembly that mates with the connections on the printhead.

I think everything you mentioned is good, but I will double check it all this evening or tomorrow.  Thanks
