The following prerequisites are required:
Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer 6 or above
NET Framework 2.0: Installed
Microsoft SQL Server: Stopped
I can't start Jetadmin because SQL server will not start. I have a HP DC7600 SFF with XP fully patched. Nothing else installed at the PC.

i have the same problem with Win2008r2. WJA had worked fine for 2 weeks, but after some windows-updates-reboots it failed to start. Reinstallation of software programs did not solve the problem.
Please help us!
P.S. and sorry for my English...

I've got the same issue on two different machines. One running Windows 7, one running Windows XP. SQL server is installed, and the service is started, but JetAdmin reports that the SQL Service is not started.

I am having the same issue.
Windows 7 64Bit
SQL Server Express has been installed 3 separate times
SP3 has been installed. R2 been installed.
Just like the other users, the SQL service says it is started, but JetAdmin says its stopped.
I have also uninstalled all of it a couple of times and tried just about everything I can think of to get it to work.
What's the deal with this? It should just install and work..........
Oh well, guess I have to go back to an old XP 32bit machine where I know I can get an older version to work.
