I think this is probably not the correct forum for a POS system but I don't know which one may be better.
Is this a new problem or have they always done this? If this is a new problem what has changed.
I would suggest updating the network driver. You may need to update the POS (sales) software. Nothing I find on any of the updates indicates this problem.
You will need to know which OS you are using but FYI this is a link to the driver site:

Check your POS software options and see if that is the case.
