What happened to Custom Builder tool?

All,

I used to use the Custom Builder online tool to plan and size a new rack. It now says that it has been retired. What was it replaced with?
I found HP Active Answers, but it does not work for a standard file server.

Help!!!!

Re: What happened to Custom Builder tool?

HP's Solutions Sizers (http://h71019.www7.hp.com/activeanswers/Secure/71110-0-0-0-121.html) for specific solutions (BladeSystem, VMware, SQL, Exchange, StorageWorks, etc) and eCo - Enterprise Configurator (http://h30099.www3.hp.com/configurator) for a more generic solution. There isn't a specific Solution Sizer for file servers. Several of the tools just mentioned would work for you.

Re: What happened to Custom Builder tool?

The eCo URL should read:

http://h30099.www3.hp.com/configurator

Select Configure under ProLiant Servers.

Re: What happened to Custom Builder tool?

That's too bad. HP has removed a great tool. The current tools do not work right for generic rack placement. I'm very dissapointed...

Re: What happened to Custom Builder tool?

What precisely are you trying to do? I have had good luck with a combination of the HP Planning tools previously described and MS Visio with HP rack stencils (free from www.visiocafe.com).
