Recommended UPS for LTO and VTL library

Hi there --

We are going to be installing an MSL4048 LTO4 drive library and a VLS6218 VTL library onto one of our racks. We want to provide uninterrupted power, via a UPS, to the two systems, and also be able to gracefully shut them down in the event of a loss of power.

What is the recommended rack-mounted UPS that would provide all of the above to the two systems? Thanks.

Re: Recommended UPS for LTO and VTL library

Unless you're referring to the server connected to the libraries, I don't believe there would be much concept of a graceful shutdown. Although I'd all your servers be setup in this way..

These are fairly low powered devices. Just about anything rated for servers would be appropriate. And since just about anything rack mountable is rated for servers, that's really all you need to look for.

I would suggest a 1KVA would be plenty if that's all you connect.
