Re: ERP application

What ERP application are they planning to use? Perhaps you could share some more info with us, (CPU & RAM requirements), I am not sure if your ERP will run on the most basic setup. If you contact with your HP sales representative, he can recommend a setup for you.

SAP ERP is not an entry level application so you'll need to consult with your SAP sales rep to discuss just how big this implementation will be. Here are the entry level servers from HP:

Or there are many older servers that may work.

Re: ERP application

Shalom,

SAP is a very resource instensive application.

What you need hardware wise is dependent on the application vendor. They have requirements and that should drive your decision.

Also a factor is whether you will be running the ERP application on the HP-UX server or the Database Application no the server.

Right now entry level in the rack mount market is the rx2800 server line.
