Bundling MSA30

We have 16 MSA30 and 4 MSA70 in use for I/O-intensive DBs.
Lefthand is not fast enough, an EVA is too expensive. So we search for another way to connect all our existing storage shelves. Is there any chance to build a large storage with all our MSAs? If not, which product may be a solution for our business needs (HP or others)? Any suggestions?

Re: Bundling MSA30

The MSA30 is SCSI, so you cannot "bundle" it.

Between EVA4400 and the Lefthands are the MSA2000 - maybe this is the right one?

Hope this helps!

Re: Bundling MSA30

P2000G2 is not available/supported any more, P2000G3 does not support MSA70. Both cannot work with MSA30. Storageworks 1500 can handle MSA30, but only 3-4 shelves. If we use more 1500 we have the problem with synchronisation/replication...

Re: Bundling MSA30

Yes, it's a problem.
Maybe you can ask for a "trade-in" and go for an EVA or even for an used older EVA?

Hope this helps!

Re: Bundling MSA30

First of all, we're waiting for an offer of a new EVA. Maybe we have a change to pay it. We have searched for used EVAs already, quite cheap but without support/guarrantee it's too risky to use it.

Re: Bundling MSA30

I'm sure you can get support even for an used EVA, but you have to pay for ... good luck!

Hope this helps!
