photosmart 315 windows xp problem

Windows XP Home doesnt recognize the 128 MB card properly. It says I have to format the drive. If I do so the camera cant access to the card anymore. The 8 MB card works fine. Any idea??

Re: photosmart 315 windows xp problem

Hi Kay,

The solution to the problem you're seeing is to purchase a card reader if you wish to use a card larger than 32 MB with Windows XP. Here's a document that outlines what you're seeing:

Hope this helps!

Re: photosmart 315 windows xp problem

The solution for your problem is to download a filter driver that works around the Problem in the HP Firmware.

Btw: I think someone should contact Microsoft and make them sue HP because of defamation.
The bug is not in Windows like HP claims, but in the Firmware of the HP Photosmart. And the guys here (the HP stuff) know this. According to our webserver logs, they even downloaded my filter driver.

It is unbelievable that you tell the guys to buy a card reader, although you know it is all YOUR fault and that there is a better solution (my driver, because it is free).
