Java protocol support on PC... Error: Failed to find javac.exe Java Compiler...

Here's the story. I need to sftp files up to a stage server.

VUGen doesn't do SFTP, so a work around solution was to use Java Vuser, implement a jsch class (java secure channel http://www.jcraft.com/jsch/) to handle the sftp for me. Here is what sparked the idea and simply followed exact same process: http://90kts.com/2008/06/03/using-sftp-with-loadrunner-java-vusers/

Using the Java Vuser works fine on my machine...but not of PC11...Here is the error when i run on PC...

Type Error_Code         Message Script
2       -22981                Error: Failed to find javac.exe Java Compiler in Path and JDK installation folder in registry.
2       -22968                Error: Failed to find java.exe.
8       -82069               Save changes to Scenario1?

So, here is my doubt...

1. Do i have to install jdk on PC loadgenerators as well???

2. How can I add jar file to PC I have referenced locally to the script? Shall I simply upload under attachments of the script?(see attached screen shot)

3. I have files under c:\temp to sftp…how can I use these in PC?

4. When I uploaded script to PC…I simply uploaded runtime files…how can I add Jar “jsch-0.1.37.jar” to PC?

Your support greatly appreciated...

Hi Sreerach,

For your question, you have to consider that your LG is where you are running the script, so that environment should be the same as when you ran the script in Vugen. As for the temp files, you can keep them in the temp folder on the local LG or modify the script and see what path it shows to upload those files and modify the path. For the other jar file, if you add it in the Run Time Settings make sure you make it part of the script folder.

Re: Java protocol support on PC... Error: Failed to find javac.exe Java Compiler...

Install Vugen on that LG machine and see if the script runs there. You may need to make some additional change in order for the vuser to be created.

Also it may be possible that some files are not getting transferred on to the LG. Check that all files are being transferred, you can check that under Scenario Groups, right click the group where the script is, choose Details->More->Files and make sure all files are here including the jar files.
