SWA - getting patches

I'm trying to use SWA to "get" patch bundles.  I have an issue that it is trying to put it in my "Hom" directory which is not big enough for the download.  Is there a way i can re-direct to a different directory?  I am running HPUX 11.31 on blade servers.

Thanks

Re: SWA - getting patches

Add the directory you want to download to via the '-x swcache=<dirname>' to your 'swa get' command.

For example:

# swa get -x swcache=/some/large/dir

Re: SWA - getting patches

Not sure what else it is looking for, so do this:

cd /var/tmp
mkdir SWAfiles
HOME=/var/tmp/SWAfiles swa ...options for swa...

 Note: put the HOME= text on the same line. It will tell swa where $HOME is located but only while swa is running.

Re: SWA - getting patches

You may have to add the '-t' switch to tell swa where to put the depot when it tries to create your patch depot.

For example:

# swa get -t /some/large/dir/mydepot -x swcache=/some/large/dir/swcache

Re: SWA - getting patches

i was able to get it to work finally.  Another related question.  I tried to download my SEC patches, using the same option, and it downloaded the SEC stuff under my .SWA directory.  Any thoughts?  thanks for the help.
