When I run the swainv and upload the inventory to the patch assesment I am getting error:
Please install BUNDLE11i:B.11.23.0409 for HP-UX 11i Version 2 (B.11.23) , which is HP-UX 11.23 from Sept 2004.
The installation is from the Dec 07 OE media so this doesnt make sense.
anyone else having this problem? is there a workaround? something I can add to the inventory.xml?
P.S. This thread has been moved from HP-UX > System Administration to HP-UX > patches - HP forum Moderator

I think you need a new version of swa, or to report a bug in the patch assessment portion of that tool.

I updated Sw Assistant to the latest version, c.02.11
I ran the swainv again to create a new inventory and uploaded it to get the same error message (below)
"The request cannot be completed successfully because the required bundle listed below is not installed on your system. Install this bundle and resubmit your request.
BUNDLE11i:B.11.23.0409 for HP-UX 11i Version 2 (B.11.23)

This is not a bug. If you want to run patch analysis you need this bundle
(Minimum) to be installed.
I will tell you a workaround.
IF you are using swainv, take the inventory.xml and add the QPK bundle tag in that along with the installed bundle list.
How ever you will select latest QPK in the analysis, so that QPK will be installed.

If you are using SWA then also you can do step by step. Once you done inventory just edit it and add the same bundle tag, then run the report.

You need to edit the inventory.xml file, add the Bundle entry.
Go to Bundle section and add the entry for Bundle11i like following and try,
title "Hewlett-Packard Company"
title Required Patch Bundle for HP-UX 11i v2 (B.11.23), September 2004
