Installation of HPOO using the trial version available in the HP Site.

Hi All,

 I have downloaded the HP OO's trial version that is available on HP for 30 days trial. While i installed it didnt ask me which component to install, whether it should be RAS, Central Server or studio. By default it installed studio and also didnt ask for installing the  database(i was about to install the MY SQL database ). Is this something different i am doing?
 Any help...

Thanks

Rohit

Re: Installation of HPOO using the trial version available in the HP Site.

Hi Rohit

You don't mention which version of OO you downloaded or the location.  I'm assuming that it is version 10.  I beleive you may have run the following file for the installation;

installer-win32.exe

This is the Windows 32 bit installer and will only install Studio.  To Install the Central, RAS, Studio you will need to have one of the following supported operating systems installed;

- Microsoft Windows 2008 Server 64 bit
- Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 Server 64 bit
- Microsoft Windows 2012 Server 64 bit
- RedHat Enterprise Linux 5.x 64 bit
- RedHat Enterprise Linux 6.x 64 bit
- Ubuntu 12.04.x LTS

Then you need to run the relevant installer for the specific OS;

installer-win64.exe (Windows 64 bit)
installer-linux64.bin (Linux)

For further information I would suggest checking out the HP Operations Orchestration 10.00 Installation Guide from the following link;

Re: Installation of HPOO using the trial version available in the HP Site.

Hi Rohit,

You can download all the software you are licensed for from the following link;

https://h20575.www2.hp.com/usbportal/softwareupdate.do

You will need to enter your SAID to gain access to the relevant software downloads.   OO 10 and the Content packs will be available there.

Re: Installation of HPOO using the trial version available in the HP Site.

Matt,

I have only the openview products listed under my SAID, that means i can not download products other than those? I am not seeing OO 10.0 anywhere in the list.

Thanks

Re: Installation of HPOO using the trial version available in the HP Site.

Hi Rohit,

This might help:

How do I request that missing media products are added to my support contract?

Create a non-technical support case on the SSO Portal : http://support.openview.hp.com/

Choose the problem category "Investigate support contract", fill out the required fields in the template and submit the support case request.  Your support contract will be investigated and the necessary media products added.

If you are in immediate need of any of the missing media products you can request them via the same process (create a support case) but pick the problem category "Electronic product delivery" for electronic delivery or "Physical update shipment" for a shipment of physical media.

Re: Installation of HPOO using the trial version available in the HP Site.

Hi Rohit,

that’s normal for the trial version.

The installer is installing Studio and Central by default, about  RAS I’m not sure yet.

The Full Version includes  3 installation files. Each for Studio, Central and RAS
