audio driver for pavilion dv9005us does not work

Today I installed Windows XP SP3, and all the drivers downloaded from the HP site worked ok, EXCEPT the audio driver. In the middle of instalation it says..... COULD NOT FIND THE MEDIA DEVICE FOR THIS DRIVER...Could anybody give me a hand with this problem? It is a real problem because I use the laptop mostly for recording music in a studio...
Is it a Win XP SP3 problem?
Thanks,
Douglas

Re: audio driver for pavilion dv9005us does not work

.....force install the Conexant sound drivers.

Device Manager>Audio device on High Def Bus

Right click, Update Driver

Say "no, not at this time" for connecting to Windows Update

Select> Install from a list or specific location

Select> Don't search I will choose the driver to install

In the list of common hardware types, choose "show all"

Remove the check from "Show Compatible Hardware" and click on "Have Disk"

Next...browse to C:\Swsetup\sp34200

Choose the "inf" and ignore any protest from XP

Reboot.

Re: audio driver for pavilion dv9005us does not work

If you don't have Audio on High Def Bus_Check in Device Manager under System Devices to see if MS UAA installed properly.

There should be a listing for Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio.

If not,you should have a PCI with yellow!

For XP SP3 UAA hotfix_download zip file below, extract it and then right-click the PCI and Update Driver,no to connect,no to search, install from a list and using "Have Disk" and point to this folder.
