Jumping Cursor on laptop

[ Edited ]

I'm running Vista Ultimate 32 bit on a Pavilion TX2510us running office 2007 and using the Logitech mouse MX60. I'll be typing a sentence and the cursor will jump to another line on the screen. I won't be touching the keypad or mouse when this happens.
What can I do to stop it from moving?

Re: Jumping Cursor on laptop

This is happening to me on my Pavillion dv6000 also, I've only had it for 6 months... Did you find a way to fix it?

Re: Jumping Cursor on laptop

At first I disabled my external mouse but I still had this problem.
Then I installed the Touchpad driver.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp39001-39500/sp39279.exe

There are settings for Palm Check and Touchpad sensitivity.

See it that helps.

I just tried this today and I'm still testing it.
