Hewlett-Packard HP Pavilion dv6700 AMD upgrade to windows 7 ......help actually I just upgraded from vista to windows 7 spanish 32 bits and the sound works well but the microphone does not ..  Someone can help me to install de the right sound card

I had to install a new hard drive on my laptop dv6700 and didn't have the recovery discs made. So used our old Xp discs to get back into windows. I'm not so concerned about getting back into Vista by ordering the recovery Cd's but am having some driver issues.

I downloaded and installed drivers per the instructions here http://www.fastfs.com/help_pages/hp%20downgrade.htm however, my system is not remembering settings such as the audio driver and mouse/keyboard settings even though I have installed&reinstalled them numerous times...when I reboot I have to add the drivers again to get it to work or pull the mouse out of the usb port after Xp logs in to recognize my mouse!

Any help,suggestions are greatly appreciated!

For starters I would review this downgrade guide link from the HP Consumer Support Forum:

Yours seems to fall within the "Easy Model" downgrade section.

If you still find yourself having difficulty, I recommend you post any further questions you have on the HP Consumer Notebook Forum. There are dozens of experts who can help. You won't get too many responses on the Business Support Forums.

You already have an HP passport user ID and password. You should be able to just sign in to the Consumer Forum side.
