I recently installed Xp Professional SP3 on my Compaq c710 EN downgrading from Vista primarily due to speed considerations.
I managed to install all the drivers except the one for wireless...tried two or three links...simply eludes me.
Any help would be appreciated.

I think my wireless driver is from Broadcomm but I am not sure. I managed to install the chipset and display drivers just fine.

Please go to the device manager, click on the network controller needing drivers and then click on the Details tab.
Post the string of characters you see there. Those will ID the model of the wireless card you have, and I will post the link to the driver you need for it.
You have to have XP SP2 or SP3 installed in order to see this ID.

I solved it...next ill be installing sound drivers.
found the WLAN driver on this page
Its in Spanish but you should be able to make it out.
havent tried connecting yet but it should be ok.

You're very welcome.
The audio driver is tricky.
First you need to install the MS UAA driver which you can find at the link below.
Then read the link below listed under 2. Moderate Models and install the modifed driver by Silver. Follow the instructions to install the driver.
